“A writer writes.” Billy Crystal Throw Mama From the Train

There is always truth in fiction, but not all fiction is truth. Fiction blurs the line between reality and truth. Even non-fiction is fiction, and this is because all history is viewed through individual lenses of thought. What one sees as truth, others can see as fiction. Inherent biases cloud our vision, and our interpretation of history is viewed through our own lens. Why is it during witness accounts of an event there is so much variation in reports of what occurred? It is because we imbue our own bias, our own opinions, into our accounts.

This is why I chose fiction, because of the intricate webs that exist within our minds.
